HELP BVI

Virgin Unite’s overheads are covered by Richard Branson and the Virgin Group, meaning that 100% of all donations received will go directly to helping support local BVI communities.

"Hurricane Irma has left behind a trail of unimaginable destruction. Please donate to support the recovery of the local BVI community.

Virgin Unite, Unite BVI and Virgin Limited Edition have launched the ‘BVI Community Support Appeal’ to raise money for the long term reconstruction of the BVI; to fund, support and work with local partners on the ground. We want to help build a better, cleaner, stronger and more sustainable Caribbean region, including a thriving tourism industry."

HELP DOMINICA

The Government of Dominica desperately needs your support. Help the people affected by Hurricane Maria

"Leaving a trail of destruction in its wake, Hurricane Maria has taught us that a prosperous, growing nation can lose everything in a matter of hours, and that caring, welcoming people can see their entire livelihoods washed away. Dominica, with its once-promising economy and kind-hearted citizens, now finds itself in urgent need of regional and international support.

We are grateful for, and humbled by, the messages of solidarity and words of encouragement received from all across the world. Without doubt however, at this time of dire national crisis, concrete aid is desperately required.

To direct assistance where it is most needed, we have established the Dominica Hurricane Maria Relief Fund. It is too soon to have an exact estimate of the damage caused by the hurricane, but there is strong reason to believe that billions of dollars have been lost overnight. This website stands as our plea for help, and as the first stage of a relief mission that will take days, months, and years to complete."

Hurricane Maria: Dominica Support

A Message from LP:TS Family Member, Leon Toussaint

"I would like to support all my family members and friends who still call Dominca home and are struggling each day to find food, water and the daily necessities. I am especially worried about my neices and nephews, who are only babies and infants. I am creating this Gofundme to generate funds that I will use to buy and ship supplies back home to support my family, friends and the general population who are in desperate need.

I am reaching out to everyone I know, any associates, and friends that I have known throughout my life; any organizations and institutions that I have been a member of or work with/for. I am pleading for your help for my home of Dominica. I am looking for any amount that you can donate. It doesn't matter how much. Whatever can be donated will be extremely helpful and appreciated."

HELP PUERTO RICO

BY JENNIFER HIJAZI September 25, 2017 at 6:00 PM EDT

"Islands throughout the Caribbean communities are beginning a long road to recovery from several major hurricanes that have ravaged the Atlantic. But Puerto Rico in particular is facing what local officials have described as a full-blown humanitarian crisis, with devastation they call “apocalyptic.”

Less than two weeks after Hurricane Irma made landfall on the island, Puerto Rico was hit by Hurricane Maria, the worst natural disaster the island has seen in nearly a century. Sixteen people have died as a result of the storm, according to the Associated Press, a number local officials expect to rise. The island has virtually no running water or electricity; around 80 percent of the island’s crops have been destroyed. Scores of Puerto Ricans are gathering around what’s left of the island’s cell towers, desperate for contact with loved ones."
